I Have Dirt On My Nose

Toby needed a little snuggle time this morning. He examined my face identifying all the major parts. Eyes, hair, mouth, nose... And then he paused with a very concerned face. "Mama, nose dirty." I thought, my nose isn't dirty - I just took a shower. "Mama, oh no!! Uh oh!! FACE dirty!" I was a little embarressed. My nose and now my face... dirty? "Dirty, Mama!" I laughed outloud. I tried to explain to him that it wasn't dirt. It's freckles. I have freckles on my nose and face. I tried to show him that we couldn't rub it off. He was pretty puzzled.

I love that I'm still surprised at the littlest things that he's still learning. I love that he's never heard of freckles.
