We're the World's Most Productive Workers?

The UN released a report that said that the US has the world's most productive workers. Before reading the article completely, the first thing that came to mind was all of those hard workers in the world that never rest, work from sun-up to sun-down, and never retire. Those are the kind of people who have a baby one day, and are back in the fields picking the next with a newborn on their back. And, we're the most productive? What they are basing this on is the most output and monetary value for it. Technology and quality training programs play a part in this. In a world where we are in so much economical competition with other countries, I found this a bit refreshing. The frustrating part was that we worked more hours than some other countries in Europe.
