Best/Worst in American Accents on TV

Short lists of the best and worst in TV American accents. Just for fun. We're approaching season finale's, so why not?

Best of TV American Accents:

• Hugh Laurie, plays House on House. This Brit is the best at the American accent.


• Simon Baker, plays Patrick Jane on the Mentalist. He manages to wipe his Aussie accent clean away.


• Naveen Andrews, plays Sayid of LOST. Did you even know he was a Brit with a Cockney accent?

Worst of TV American Accents:

• Yvonne Strzechowski, plays Sarah on Chuck. She's really almost there. A bit more practice ditching the Aussie accent.


• Anna Torv, plays Olivia Dunham on Fringe. Aussie, and I pick it up all the time.

Who would you nominate for Best and Worst in American accents?

If we have fun with this, we'll switch over to American's who do the Best/Worst in other accents. Masi Oka (Hiro on Heroes) and Daniel Dae Kim (Jin on Lost) would be on the top of my Best list. It's so strange to hear them speak with their American accents.
